You can make unlimited calls to India if you set up two adapters connected to any free VOIP SIP providers like FWD or SIPPhone.com.
However there is a new service from MPINGI which charges a flat $35 dollars a month and provide unlimited calls to India. This requires two adapters,
MPINGI helps in installing the adapters in India and also in USA. They ship the adapters directly to India.

How the VOIP Phone Works |

|
VoIP stands for "Voice over IP" or more specifically "Voice over Internet Protocol." VoIP converts analog voice data into digital packets and routes those packets over the Internet instead of the traditional Public Switched Telephone Network which provides significant cost savings and the benefits of added features not normally available from traditional phone companies.
A normal phone conversation is carried over a series of switches and lines to create a dedicated circuit for the duration of the call. Using Digital Phone Service / VoIP, the conversation is carried in data packets that travel over the internet the same way that e-mails and Web pages are.
